DECA is a student organization for Business and Marketing students.  WHS DECA is a fun way to help students develop skills for business careers, build self-esteem, and experience leadership opportunities.  WHS DECA currently has over 80 members.

Our local DECA chaper is nationally affiliated and has participated in numerous leadership opportunities at the state and national level.  Some activities include the "New York Experience" and the "National Leadership Conference".

Monthly DECA meetings will be held during Indian Period on the 4th Thursday of every month.

National DECA month is November.  DECA members, stay tuned for details about each week's activities!!

In December,  DECA members will have the opportunity to attend the "New York Experience" sponsored by National DECA.  This is always such a great and educational experience for these students.  Some of the events we will attend are:  Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular show, NBC Studio Tour, Madison Square Gardens tour, Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum tour, Empire State Building, and of course, the Statue of Liberty.  We will spend 5 days exploring Times Square and shopping on 5th Avenue.   18 students are attending this year's New York Experience.

We will be planning several DECA activities and field trips throughout the year.  For information, please see Mrs. Crockett or a DECA officer.

Graduation Stoles are $12, and must also be paid by March 30.  Seniors must have earned a minimum of 10 DECA points to wear the DECA stole at graduation.
