Prattville High School - 2012-2016

My name is Tatum Northington Smith, and I am starting my first year at Wetumpka, but my 6th year in education! I am so blessed to be at Wetumpka High School this year. I am teaching Television Production, and this is my dream job. I was born and raised in Prattville, and then attended the University of Alabama, where I received two Bachelors degrees - a BA in Media Production -Telecommunicaions and Film, and a BS - Political Science - American Government.  I received my Masters in Education in 2014.  I cannot tell you how excited I am to teach TV production at WHS! I am not an artist, and I cannot sing, so media production was my creative outlet in college - and to be able to teach the basics to high school students is seriously a dream.

I am married to my best friend, Coach Jes Smith. Coach was born and raised in Wetumpka and his family still resides here. He teaches Health and coaches football at Prattville High School. We have been married four years, and enjoy cheering on the University of Alabama Crimson Tide and Huntingdon College Hawks in ALL SPORTS, going to Memphis Grizzlies Basketball games, watching any football on TV, and going to the beach. We live in Prattville and have a 4-legged fur baby named Bama! We adopted him in 2017 and he is our favorite :)  We are members of First Untied Methodist in Prattville, and love participating in events in our community.

I am a huge ALABAMA fan, and go to all University events I can. I am the President of the Autauga County Alumni Chapter of the University of Alabama National Alulmni Association. I am also the Executive Director of Miss Tri County - a scholarship preliminary to Miss Alabama and Miss America.

I am excited for the 2018-2019 School year and cannot wait to see what the future holds!
